About

Carbon Nano Tubes (CNT) will revolutionize material sciences.
ART Carbon is at the forefront of the movement to commercialise CNT.
About CNT
  • CNT is a carbon derivative that is mixed into other materials to enhance their properties.
  • CNT has exceptional properties that will revolutionize material science:
    • Walls formed by one-atom-thick sheets of carbon, thinnest of known materials
    • 100 times stronger and 5 times stiffer than steel, highest of known materials
    • 1000 times greater electrical conductivity and 10 times greater thermal conductivity than copper
About Us
  • ART Carbon is a Swiss material science technology company. We operate globally for our customers.
  • We have developed a best-in-class technology for producing and dispersing CNT.
  • We develop and patent commercially viable applications for CNT and tailor these to our individual customers’ specifications and materials.
  • Our applications are in building materials, paints and coatings, and polymers and plastics, delivering quality improvements, cost savings, environmental benefits

Applications

GDP-Dominant Growth-Industries
Building Materials

Our CNT can be used to enhance concrete and air concrete (AAC):

  • Increasing compressive strength
  • Improving the curing process and reducing curing times

Value proposition

  • Quality improvements to deliver high grade specialty concrete or improve low grade concrete at competitive cost
  • Cost savings through reduced construction times and faster throughput on production lines
Paints and Coatings

Our CNT can be used to enhance paints and coatings:

  • Increasing the surface hardness
  • Improving scratch and heat resistance, and corrosion protection

Value proposition

  • Cost savings through lower wear and tear, prolonged maintenance cycles and reduced replacement rates
  • Environmental benefits through reduced replacement rates and material consumption
Plastics and Polymers

Our CNT can be used to enhance plastics and polymers:

  • Reducing film / wall thickness
  • Extending the use of moulds for Moulding Polymers

Value proposition

  • Cost savings through reduced material consumption, combined with reduced energy consumption use and emissions
  • Environmental benefits through reduced material consumption, as well as improved bio-degradability
